Technical Requirements & Recommendations for Testing

This guide defines the computer specifications needed to access exam content in UF e-Learning

he minimum and recommended specifications are listed in the tables below. The requirements are different for on-site testing and remote testing, so be sure you are looking at the correct table.  

Biotility recommends candidates use a wired internet connection rather than a Wi-Fi connection.

* Canvas requires the latest two versions of Chrome; as of September 2026 that is currently 149 or above, but may change. Please use the Canvas Browser Checker tool to confirm your browser is compatible.

Linux systems, iOS (iPads, iPhones), Android (tablets, smartphones) are incompatible and not permitted.


Remote Testing Requirements

Remote Testing has additional requirements due to the live proctoring. You may reference the ProctorU Hardware Requirements page for more details, as well as a tool to test your equipment. Installation of the Guardian Browser is required and may need admin privileges to install. For assistance, contact ProctorU Support (Meazure Learning).
