Credential Exam Overview
Biotility’s credential offerings are available online to review in detail. Please refer to the appropriate Credential-Specific Web Page and the Exam Specification and Overview page in the Knowledge Base to prepare for the exam. Candidates must review both this bulletin and the applicable credential webpage before they enroll for an examination.
Exam Administration and Testing Options
Biotility administers the exam through UF e-Learning (UFEL), the University of Florida education platform. Candidates may choose from two testing options:
Remote Testing: Take the exam in a quiet home or private setting with live, remote proctoring by ProctorU.
On-Site Testing: Take the exam at a Biotility-approved Exam Site with an in-person proctor.
Exam Enrollment Process
Candidates are responsible for completing their own enrollment in UFEL and for providing accurate information, reviewing all applicable policies, meeting technical requirements, safeguarding sign-in credentials, and complying with examination rules.

Earning a Biotility credential provides verified evidence of your knowledge and achievement. Your digital credential makes that achievement easy to share, verify, and use as you pursue education and career opportunities.
Use your credential to build your professional presence:
- Share Your Credential – Make your achievement part of your professional presence. Share your digital credential to LinkedIn, your resume, email signature, portfolio, or professional website so employers can see what you have accomplished and verify your credential.
- Be Seen in Biotility’s Spotlight – Biotility showcases credentialed talent to industry through Spotlight. Build a professional profile where employers can discover your credentials, experience, location, career interests, availability, and LinkedIn profile.
- Verify Your Achievement – Make it easy for employers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to confirm your achievement. Biotility credentials can be securely verified online, providing trusted evidence that your credential is authentic and current.

Candidate Policies and Procedures
Testing Interruptions and Administrative Irregularities
Biotility documents and reviews testing interruptions and administrative irregularities under established procedures. Outcomes may include continued testing, rescheduling, delayed score reporting, or invalidation of examination results, as appropriate.
Candidates must report testing interruptions, technical issues, and administrative irregularities to the proctor as soon as they occur. Candidates may also contact Biotility Client Services or ProctorU for assistance or follow-up, as appropriate.
Confidentiality and Data Privacy Policy
Biotility protects candidate data during the certification process and complies with applicable federal, state, and local student data privacy laws, including:
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA)
For most participating sites, Biotility enters into a Data Privacy Agreement and completes a risk assessment, the Higher Education Community Vendor Assessment Toolkit (HECVAT), or both, as required.
Biotility secures candidate records with physical and electronic safeguards and limits access to authorized personnel. Exam Site data is shared only as needed for certification and under confidentiality agreements.
Biotility retains certification records in accordance with its records management requirements. Biotility releases candidate information only as authorized by the candidate or as otherwise required by law or program policy.
Participation in public credential directories (Spotlight) is optional. Biotility identifies what information will be displayed and obtains candidate consent before publication, unless otherwise stated by program policy.
Exam Accommodations for Disabilities or IEP
Biotility administers credentialing activities in a manner that supports fair access and nondiscrimination consistent with applicable law and program policy. Candidates with disabilities or requiring an Individualized Education Program (IEP) may request exam accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) at least 2 weeks before the exam. Available accommodations may include:
Extended Testing Time: Additional time to complete the exam
Assistive Technology: Access to specific tools or technology
Reader or Scribe Assistance: Support with reading or writing/data entry
Alternative Formats: Materials provided in accessible formats
On-site Testing: Work with the Site Coordinator for accommodation requests.
Remote Testing: Contact Biotility Client Services for accommodation requests.
Cancellations and Refunds
Self-Pay Remote Candidates
Candidates may withdraw from a course within 2 days of enrollment and receive a full refund. No refunds will be granted after the 2-day grace period or once the candidate has accessed the course exam, whichever occurs first.
To withdraw from a course, refer to the Dropping a Course in UF e-Learning (UFEL) in in Knowledge Base or email Biotility Client Services.
Candidates who cannot access the exam because of technical challenges may appeal to re-schedule or cancel their exam and receive full refund. Email appeals to Biotility Client Services. Appeals will be processed within 2 weeks, and candidates will be notified of the decision.
All Other Candidates: Contact Your Site Coordinator.
Exam Integrity and Candidate Conduct
Before beginning a Biotility credentialing examination, candidates must review and accept the Candidate Examination Conduct and Security Requirements. Candidates can review the conduct and security requirements in the Biotility Knowledge Base at any time before testing.
Candidates who do not accept the agreement will not be permitted to begin the examination.
Academic Honesty
Credential candidates must behave ethically. Academic dishonesty includes any action, received or given, that creates an unfair exam advantage. Examples include:
- Assisting or accepting assistance from another candidate during the exam
- Discussing specific exam questions with others
- Copying, photographing, recording, posting, or reproducing exam content in any medium
- Using stolen exam content to prepare for the exam
- Report academic dishonesty anonymously by contacting Biotility Client Services.
Biotility reviews alleged misconduct and may request information from the candidate before making a final determination. Violations of examination rules may result in exam termination, score cancellation, denial of certification, suspension, revocation, and/or restrictions on future testing.
Exam Security and Credential Validity
Biotility protects credential validity by securing exam content. The Credentialing Exam is the intellectual property of Biotility and the University of Florida and is copyrighted under United States law. Examination content is confidential and proprietary. Biotility does not release test items, answer keys, or detailed item-level feedback.
Biotility may withhold exam results and/or invalidate credentials when evidence shows a testing abnormality. Biotility may pursue civil and criminal remedies if its intellectual property rights are violated.
Remote Testing Only: In addition, to defend its intellectual property, Biotility uses:
- Remote proctoring through ProctorU Live+
- Internal review of ProctorU room scans and testing sessions
- Eye movement detection indicating a secondary device
- Data forensic analysis
- Anonymous academic dishonesty reporting
Scoring, Results, and Appeals
A candidate earns the credential by meeting the passing standard for the applicable examination. Biotility provides pass/fail status, numeric scores, category performance, and credential IDs. If your exam was sponsored by an institution or company, your Site Coordinator will notify you of your official scores. All other candidates will be notified by email.
Official score reports and digital credentials will be issued within 2 weeks, following the completion of all required exam administration review processes (eg, quality assurance, security, and the investigation and resolution of any testing irregularities).
How to View Results in UFEL
Results in UFEL are preliminary and may change following the exam administration reviews. Candidates may preview unofficial results immediately in UFEL. To view results:
- Sign in to UFEL.
- Navigate to the course.
- Select Grades from the menu
- Numeric Score – View the Assignments Tab
- Category Performance – View the Learning Mastery Tab
Review and Appeals Process
Candidates may submit a written appeal to Biotility Client Services within 90 days of receiving an adverse certification decision.
Biotility’s Appeals and Compliance Committee is comprised of individuals not involved in the original credentialing decision. Appeals are reviewed in an impartial manner, and the final decision is binding. Biotility provides written notice of the appeal outcome within 90 days of receiving the appeal.
How to Request Score Release
To release your scores to an institution or individual, email Biotility Client Services with the following information:
- Send the request from your email on file.
- Use the subject line “[Credential Name] Score Release Request.”
- Provide the receiving institution or individual name and accurate email address.
- Include your full name and credential name.
Biotility will acknowledge your request and begin verification. Allow 2 weeks to complete the score release request.
Impartiality and conflict-of-interest statement
Biotility administers certification activities impartially and identifies, analyzes, and manages conflicts of interest to protect the objectivity of certification decisions. Participation in training or preparatory activities does not guarantee certification.
Renewing Your Credential
Recertification requirements are published for each credential and may include re-examination or other conditions identified in the applicable credential scheme. Certification expires when recertification requirements are not met by the expiration date.
Biotility may suspend, revoke, or allow lapse of certification in accordance with program policy. Reinstatement, if available, is subject to the applicable credential requirements.
Name Corrections & Legal Name Changes
Your name must be accurate in all Biotility systems. If you find an error in any University of Florida system, request a correction as soon as possible by using one of the following options:
- Sponsored candidates only: Notify your Site Coordinator who can request a change on your behalf.
- Before earning the credential: Send an email to Client Services from your address on file and request a name update.
- After earning the credential: Open your digital credential in Accredible, select Help, select Request a Name Change.
- Lost access to your credential or email address: Send an email to Client Services. We will schedule an online meeting and guide you through verification. Photo ID will be required.
For legal name changes, such as those due to marriage or court orders, include official documentation with your request. Prompt reporting helps keep records accurate and current.
Credential Use
Credential holders may represent themselves as credentialed only while their certification is valid and in accordance with Biotility policy. False, misleading, or unauthorized use of Biotility credentials, certificates, badges, or marks is prohibited.
